Our History
The creation of the Williams-Brice-Edwards Charitable Trust became possible because of the financial success of Williams Furniture Corporation and affiliated companies. The inspiration for it has come from the outstanding traits of honesty, integrity, fairness and compassion that were so deeply ingrained in Oliver Lafayette Williams, Julian Thomas Buxton and Walter Edward Covington, the men who dedicated their lives to creating and building the company. As always, there were many others who worked long and hard contributing greatly, this trust and any contributions that it makes now and in the future is a tribute and memorial to all of them.
In addition, the creation of the trust would not have been possible without both the spiritual and financial legacy that was given to Phillip L. Edwards by his father and mother, Richard Thomas and Louise Williams Edwards and Thomas Hardin and Martha Williams Brice.
